The series began on Aug. 22, 2026, when Westminster police responded to a vehicle fire at a city park in the 6500 block of Homer Street. In early October, a residence in the 8900 block of Blossom in Garden Grove was set on fire. On Oct. 11, two vehicles in the driveway of that same Garden Grove home were set ablaze; police said evidence confirmed both were intentional and involved two suspects.
Garden Grove police detectives joined Westminster's investigation after authorities determined the fires may be connected across jurisdictions.
