Street Race Near Trabuco Hills High Kills Shalia Deciderio, 21; Brother Among Two Drivers Arrested
Shalia Deciderio, 21, of Rancho Santa Margarita was killed the night of Aug. 20, 2026, when the Infiniti she was riding in left the road and hit a tree at Los Alisos Boulevard and Mustang Run in Mission Viejo — the entrance to Trabuco Hills High School — in what OCSD says was a street race between two cars. Both drivers were arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence: Jaime Rojas, 20, of Mission Viejo, who drove the crashed car and was hospitalized, and Aiden Deciderio, 20 — the victim's younger brother — who drove the other car. As of Aug. 22 prosecutors had not announced charges, bail, or court dates.
